A GREENOCK man charged with having unlawful possession of a knife on the town's Branchton Road has pleaded not guilty and says he had a 'reasonable excuse' for having the item with him.
Patrick McAleese, 29, of Stonehaven Road, is said to have committed the alleged offence on August 26 last year.
He has denied the allegation through lawyer Aidan Gallagher, with the case now set to go to trial in August.
