EDUCATION bosses are hiring an influx of extra teachers to help pupils in Inverclyde get back on track after the pandemic disruption.
Young people have had two successive terms of upheaval and the council has set up a 'recovery process' which involves taking on a number of primary school teachers for local schools.
The posts will be full-time for one year from August and could see the new staff based across two schools.
Inverclyde Council says the additional posts will either be to 'backfill' existing class teachers to carry out catch-up intervention, or to deliver the intervention work.
