INVERCLYDE was one of just six areas in Scotland to record a Covid-19 death in the most recent week.
The registration, which was made between May 3 and 9, takes the district's pandemic death toll to 215.
Eighty-three of those individuals have died this year, during the second wave of infections.
The other places where people with the virus passed away last week were Angus, Glasgow, Midlothian, South Lanarkshire and North Lanarkshire - which had two deaths.
Public Health Scotland says six of the seven people who died were aged 75 and above.
