COUNCIL chiefs want to spend half a million pounds on grants to help businesses recover from the Covid-19 crisis.
As part of a new masterplan put together to help the local economy back on its feet, the local authority wants to go beyond the interventions from the Scottish Government.
They have proposed a rent relief scheme and also want to bolster workforce development, by helping people to upskill and retrain and boost the modern apprenticeship scheme.
