GREENOCK has been named the 'fifth least expensive seaside town' to buy property in the UK in a new study.
According to Halifax, the average house price in Greenock came in at £99,994.
The most expensive seaside town was Salcombe in Devon, with houses there on average coming in at £950,325.
The research also found that the average price of a home by the sea in the UK has increased by more than £24,000 within the past year.
