GREENOCK actor Martin Compston has shared his delight at seeing himself on a billboard in one of the most iconic spots in the world.
The Inverclyde-born man, who is back on screens just now as psychopathic serial killer Peter Manuel in STV drama In Plain Sight, was spotted on a billboard in Times Square in New York City.
The billboard depicts the Greenock man as cop DS Steve Arnott to highlight the record-breaking drama Line Of Duty, arriving stateside.
Martin said seeing it was a 'proud moment' and fans across the globe have congratulated him on his successes.
Sharing a joke about the first time he appeared on a billboard in Greenock, he tweeted:
The Sweet Sixteen actor has been causing a stir across Scotland lately, with an Edinburgh bar creating a 'Compston-Politan' and local pub, The Old Bank Bar, honouring him with an outdoor mural.
