A TOTAL of 18 people in Inverclyde tested positive for Covid-19 between May 30 and June 5, new figures show.
Public Health Scotland say that the district’s infection rate per 100,000 people now stands at 23.1 — the eighth lowest of the country’s 32 local authority areas.
Neighbouring North Ayrshire’s rate is 77.2 and for Renfrewshire the figure is much higher at 128.4.
The seven day rate for Scotland is 96, after 5,244 newly-reported cases over the corresponding period.
