Four men have been charged in connection with serious and organised crime offences following a police operation on Tuesday, 15 June, 2021.

Around 7am this morning, officers acting under warrant entered and searched a number of properties in Greenock and Gourock, as well as another in Cambuslang. Officers seized more than £3,500 in cash.

The men, aged 29, 36, 40 and 58, have been arrested and charged in connection with serious and organised crime offences and will appear at Greenock Sheriff Court at a later date.

Detective Inspector Robert Bowie said: “This operation reinforces our determination to target serious and organised crime in our communities. People’s lives can be ruined by this activity and we are determined to change that.

"Serious and organised crime has no place in our society and this operation should reassure the public that we will continue to disrupt this and any other criminal activity which impacts on our lives and our communities.”
