TWO Greenock brothers charged with seriously assaulting a man to injury with poles and a bottle have maintained pleas of not guilty at the latest calling of the case.
Christopher Rodgers, 37, of Roxburgh Way, and Gary Rodgers, 35, of Auchmead Road, are accused of repeatedly striking the alleged victim on the head and body at an address on Auchmead Road.
Gary Rodgers is also charged with brandishing a knife at the man.
The men, represented by lawyers Aidan Gallagher and Gerry Keenan, cannot go to trial because of current court Covid-19 restrictions on cases where there are multiple accused.
A further pre-trial calling of the case has been set for October 5.
