A MAN breached a night-time bail curfew to target his ex-girlfriend's Greenock flat and carry out an assault, it's alleged.

Andrew Tweedley, 30, is said to have placed the woman in a state of fear and alarm at the Ravenscraig Court address by shouting, swearing, repeatedly striking the front door and demanding entry.

Prosecutors say he then assaulted a man by striking him on the head with a plant pot before allegedly smashing a TV and punching holes in a door.

Tweedley, who was on bail to an address in Dunoon, is said to have committed the alleged offences on January 9.

He has pleaded not guilty through lawyer Gerry Keenan and is due to stand trial at Greenock Sheriff Court on January 30.
