Father Joe McGill
CHURCHGOERS are celebrating the ordination of Deacon Joseph McGill to the priesthood.
Father McGill was ordained at St Mirin's Cathedral in Paisley on Tuesday night by Bishop John Keenan.
It is understood his first appointment will be as assistant priest at St Laurence's in Greenock.
Father McGill is related to the late Stephen McGill, who was Bishop for Paisley between 1968 and 1988.
