ALBA councillor Chris McEleny says the Scottish Government must include schoolchildren in the country's Covid-19 vaccination programme as a priority.
Mr McEleny says Scotland entering Level 0 in the weeks running up to pupils going back could create a 'perfect storm'.
He said: "By the World Health Organisation's own definition, the virus is out of control in Scotland.
"To avoid disaster, the Scottish Government must ramp up its vaccination programme to ensure that at the very least all of Scotland’s high school population are offered their first jag before schools return."
