MORTON'S delayed takeover is edging closer say the club's incoming owners.
Fans' investment group Morton Club Together hope that the deal, which had been due to go through last month, can be concluded soon as lawyers move through a checklist of outstanding items still to be tied up.
A spokesperson for MCT said: "Some of those remaining issues are complicated and time consuming to rectify but they are moving in the right direction and the list of items continues to reduce."
