A GREENOCK store was forced to shut up shop - as it had more food than usual.
The Co-op on Eldon Street was unexpectedly closed to shoppers for an hour on Monday.
Bosses said two lorry deliveries arrived within a short space of time, meaning staff had to deal with getting more produce onto the shelves than usual.
A Co-op spokesperson added: "Like many retailers, we have been impacted by some patchy disruption locally to our deliveries and we continue to work closely with our suppliers to get re-stocked quickly.
"The store received two lorry deliveries within a short space of time, and needed to close very briefly just to give store colleagues an opportunity to deal with the deliveries before re-opening to serve the community.
"We are sorry for any inconvenience caused."
