A TELE reporter and another Greenock journalist have been nominated for a prestigious UK industry honour.
Our chief reporter David Goodwin has joined The Scotsman's Martyn McLaughlin as a finalist in the British Regional Press Awards, within the daily reporter of the year category.
Former Gourock High pupil Martyn and Tele staffer David are up against five others for the winner's prize.
Martyn has won the award for the last two years, as well as a host of other industry honours for his reporting on Donald Trump's controversial US presidency.
The winner will be announced at a virtual ceremony on September 16.
