A PORT Glasgow man is facing charges of having indecent images of children and supplying class A drugs.

Daniel McLaughlin, 24, is also accused of possession of bestiality pornography at his former home on Mary Street.

Prosecutors say McLaughlin — who now lives elsewhere in the town — was concerned in the supply of MDMA (ecstasy).

He is further accused of possession of cocaine, cannabis and the street valium drug etizolam.

It is alleged that on various occasions between January and June last year McLaughlin took or permitted to be taken, or made, indecent photographs or pseudo photographs of children.

A further charge claims that he had extreme pornographic images depicting in a realistic way bestiality.

McLaughlin has pleaded not guilty to all of the indictment charges against him through lawyer Aidan Gallagher at a preliminary calling of the case at Greenock Sheriff Court.

The matters are due to call again in November.
