ENQUIRIES are continuing into a crash on the A78 which left a 34-year-old man in hospital.
A black BMW left the dual carriageway carriageway and colliding with a tree on an embankment just after 11am on Wednesday.
The Greenock-bound side was closed for a period while the driver was removed from the vehicle by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, who had to use cutting equipment to take the roof off of the vehicle.
The man was taken to hospital and police say his condition is not considered to be life-threatening.
Officers added that they are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash but that no charges have been made.
