Greenock CID are investigating the attack.
DETECTIVES have launched an appeal for information after a man was seriously assaulted in a Greenock pub last night.
The 24-year-old victim is understood to have sustained facial injuries in the 10pm incident at the Carnock Bar.
He received treatment at Inverclyde Royal Hospital and was then discharged.
It is understood that no weapons were involved.
Information should be passed to Greenock police via the 101 number.
