SOCCER Aid organisers have confirmed Greenock actor Martin Compston will take to the field alongside a host of football megastars and celebrities for the fundraising match on Saturday September 4.
The Line of Duty star will line up with the likes of Usain Bolt, Roberto Carlos and Patrice Evra for the World XI taking on an England team including singer Olly Murs and ex Man Utd heroes Wayne Rooney and Paul Scholes.
The Unicef footballing fundraiser will be played at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium and it will be shown live on ITV.
