INVERCLYDE Council is to pick up £50,000 to fund free music tuition in schools.
The allocation from the Scottish Government is covering the cost of loss of income.
Officials at the Municipal Buildings are also working to put free tuition on a sustainable footing for the future, to cope with an expected increase in demand.
