A GOUROCK home owner is asking councillors to give him permission to build a shed for his classic motorbikes in his front garden.
Council officers used their delegated powers to reject the bid for the new build at the traditional property in Victoria Road.
Following a flurry of objections from neighbours, the council planners said it failed to reflect the architecture on the street and would look out of place in the conservation area.
Applicant Robert Campbell has now appealed to the local review body.
He said: "I am seeking a review of the decision to refuse my application for a shed at my home on my own ground because I feel that what I am proposing due to its size and location will not be cause for complaint."
He went on to say that he was prepared to make the shed smaller, use any material considered acceptable and also reduce the proposed height of the roof.
Mr Campbell added: "I am raising these suggestions as a compromise to any concerns my neighbours have raised and concerns by planning officials."
