SCHOOLKIDS in Inverclyde are set to get an additional day off next year to celebrate the Queen's historic Platinum Jubilee.
Inverclyde Council is proposing to move a current holiday on May 30 next year to June 2 instead.
If this is agreed then June 3 would also be designated an exceptional closure day to celebrate the Royal milestone of Queen Elizabeth II becoming the first monarch to sit for 70 years on the throne.
