A KILMACOLM councillor says it could be next year before final decisions are made on two proposed housing developments in the village.
Taylor Wimpey bosses have lodged an appeal with the Scottish Government after the planning board refused permission for 100 homes at Planetreeyetts in the village.
A separate application by Mactaggart & Mickel for 78 homes west of Quarry Drive - which was approved by councillors - has been 'called in' by the government.
Mr Wilson, chair of the planning board, says independent reporters will take some time to consider the cases.
He said: "It could be months before a decision is made."
