A JURY trial for a man charged with assaulting and robbing an 80-year-old woman in Port Glasgow can't yet be fixed because CCTV footage first called for months ago remains outstanding.
The prosecution of accused George Dorrian, 41, has had to be continued to a further pre-trial hearing in November.
Dorrian is charged with seizing the elderly pensioner on Cromdale Road, struggling with her, attempting to pull her to the ground and robbing her of her handbag, purse and cash.
Prosecutors say he committed the alleged offence on November 8 last year.
Dorrian, of the Inverclyde Centre, is also accused of twice using his 66-year-old mother's bank card at ATMs on Dubbs Road to steal a total of £350 from her between July 27 and August 4 last year.
Defence lawyer Gerry Keenan told Greenock Sheriff Court that he was still awaiting CCTV images pertaining to the case from when it first called on May 25.
