THREE Greenock Wanderers players have made the breakthrough to senior level at the club.
Jack McDaid, Aiden Power and David Smith started their careers in the mini section and worked their way to under-18 level.
They have been developed all the way by Wanderers coaches and the academy structure, which was introduced seven years ago, managed by former club president John McDougall whose own son is well established in the 1st XV.
Aiden is in the 2nd XV and David and Jack have played for the first team this season.
Both players have performed well so far, with Jack scoring two tries against Ardrossan recently.
Jack, Aiden and David are flanked by director of rugby John Dyer and head coach Grant Sweenie.
Wanderers' policy is a structure which enables boys and girls a pathway from minis to seniors, guiding and coaching in tandem with the academy set-up to reach that goal.
