CHILDREN are getting the chance to run free at an outdoor playground in Greenock's east end.
Belville Community Garden has launched a new play session for kids, aimed at using natural resources to allow them to explore and have fun in the fresh air.
The new sessions are capturing the imagination as the eco-project champions outdoor learning for all ages.
Staff member Adrian Scott said: "We have a number of groups booking our outdoor playground.
"We have set up a number of stations, including arts and crafts, giving people of all ages the chance to explore and learn more about the environment round about us.
"It is very much child-led and we have had great feedback so far.
"We are an environmentally minded project.
"With everything going on with climate change, we want children to appreciate the world the way it is and help us protect it in the future."
Belville Community Garden has transformed the site of the former high rise flats into an natural resource and a outdoor haven for community groups to enjoy the outdoors.
They run a host of workshops, with popular gardening drop-ins every week, and also support other charities and use their resources to help the community.
