A DRIVER is recovering after being freed from a car which ended up down a ravine off Kilmacolm Road in Greenock.
Emergency services were called out after the car went down an embankment around 7pm on Thursday.
Firefighters had to secure the vehicle to prevent it from falling further down the ravine.
The woman was safely removed from it and taken to hospital for treatment.
The B788 was closed due to the incident with traffic diverted.
Police say enquiries into the incident are continuing, with no one charged at this time.
