A LIFESAVING volunteer from a men’s mental health charity met the Queen at the opening of the Scottish Parliament.
Sean O'Hagan met Her Majesty at a reception celebrating the efforts of those who went above and beyond to help their community during lockdown.
Sean was nominated as a ‘local hero’ by MSP Jamie Greene for his involvement with Man On Inverclyde and its suicide prevention projects.
Sean said: “Meeting Her Majesty The Queen was a true privilege and it's a day I will never forget."
MSP Mr Greene says people like Sean represent the ‘best of Inverclyde’.
He added: “It was a pleasure to welcome Sean to the opening ceremony in recognition of his lifesaving mental health work.
“I'd like to thank him and all the Man On volunteers for the immense contribution they make to our community."
