Patricia Gibson pays tribute to Conservative MP killed in stabbing
North Ayrshire MP Patricia Gibson has paid tribute to Sir David Amess, who was killed in a stabbing in his constituency earlier today.
The Conservtive MP was carrying out a surgery in Leigh-on-Sea when he was stabed and killed.
Mrs Gibson said: "The murder of David Amess MP is awful beyond words and a direct attack on democracy.
"My heart goes out to his family andall his loved onces whose lives have been forever changed."
