MSP Jamie Greene has backed a drink spiking awareness campaign.

The campaign, headed by the student discount app Student Beans, details the ways you can tell if a drink has been spiked and what to do if you believe it has.

They advise that a drink may have been spiked if it has a foggy appearance, excessive bubbles, sinking ice or a change in colour.

Mr Greene said: “If you do believe you have been spiked, you should make yourself safe as soon as possible and speak to a member of staff in the first instance.

“If you do spike someone’s drink, you will get caught and can expect to feel the full force of the law for your heinous actions.”
