ACCIDENT and emergency waiting times have improved significantly at Inverclyde Royal following the record low reached at the start of last month.
Latest government figures show that 80.1 per cent of patients waited less than four hours when visiting the hospital in the week ending October 24.
This is better than both the health board average of 66 per cent and the Scottish average of 69.6 per cent.
While this figure is still well below the Scottish Government's goal of having 95 per cent of patients admitted, discharged or transferred within four hours, it is a marked improvement from the 63.7 per cent low recorded last month, which was the hospital's worst figure since weekly records began.
