MAJOR disruption is expected for commuters to and from Inverclyde with the Erskine Bridge set to close AGAIN.
Traffic Scotland announced the busy route will be closed later today to accommodate the Greenpeace Rainbow Warrior.
The vessel, which caused controversy yesterday as she sailed up the Clyde towards COP26 despite being warned not to, is expected to leave Glasgow around 3pm.
The bridge will be closed from 4.30pm with no reopening time confirmed.
Police Scotland will close the #A898 Erskine Bridge for a short period of time late this afternoon for public safety. The closure will be around 1630, subject to local tidal conditions. Traffic will be diverted & will be reopened as soon as possible.@GetReadyGlasgow @RenCouncil pic.twitter.com/PPQEibTG17
