INVERCLYDE's very own Banksy has left a touching tribute to the fallen on a postbox in Inverkip.
The mystery stitcher, who has placed a variety of knitted adornments at locations across the area during lockdown, placed a knitted piece depicting a proud veteran, a Spitfire, warship and a Sherman tank on a box in the village.
The Glebe Road piece also has 29 poppies, one for each of the brave locals who lost their lives during both world wars.
Locals have praised the work since it appeared earlier this week.
One said: "It is a lovely thing to do ahead of Remembrance Sunday."
