IT was a pleasure to visit Arnold Clark staff member Marryanne Cairns when she switched off her computer for the last time in preparation for a new life of retirement. Colleagues held a happy farewell gathering for Marryanne in the Volkswagen showroom at which she received a bouquet and gifts on her final day.

MUSICIANS Lauren O'Donoghue and Lynette Beaton braved a windy Lyle Hill to make this lively picture in celebration of their appearance at Murrayfield Stadium. The duo performed in front of a crowd of 65,000 rugby fans before both the Scotland v Tonga and Scotland v South Africa games.

KIDS got their first look at the new, state-of-the-art Larkfield Early Learning Centre in Larkfield, and we were lucky to get a peek into the building with them. The centre was built in tandem with the new Rainbow Family centre in Port Glasgow. The children looked comfortable in their carved wooden seats, situated in the centre garden they will enjoy tending come the better weather.
