MOURNERS who attended the funeral of a former community stalwart and charity trustee raised £150 for the charity.
The money was donated in memory of the late Irene Pollard MBE, who was a community councillor and also helped Parklea Branching Out.
A spokesperson for the Parklea charity said: "Irene worked tirelessly for her community and committed a lot of her time here as a trustee over the past 15 years.
"She made a valuable contribution to the voluntary sector and was extremely passionate about inclusion and opportunities for people with learning and physical disabilities.
"She has left quite a legacy and we will honour this by continuing with the future developments of the organisation in a way that she would have wanted us to."
