FOUR masked men armed with weapons burst into a close late at night and attacked two teenagers in their own home.
The gang, dressed in black and wearing balaclavas, forced the door entry of the building in Regent Street at 10.45pm on Monday and the pair unwittingly opened their flat door to them.
The men then attacked the 17-year-olds, kicking the boy in the head and pushing the girl.
Police are still trying to establish a motive for the robbery.
Detective Sergeant Stuart Young said: "They made threats and took property and made off in an unknown direction."
Anyone who was in the Regent Street/Trafalgar Street area or who may have dashcam footage should call 101.
