INVERCLYDE was the first place in the country to sell unleaded petrol at the pumps according to a TV documentary.
The BBC Scotland programme Rewind, which takes a trip down memory lane, told how the new, cleaner fuel arrived first in the area back in 1986.
Footage from that year in the programme showed drivers filling up at the petrol station in Inverkip Road.
