A SINGING star and children's entertainer is sharing the stage with Santa for a Christmas cracker of a show.

Boogie Bugs performer Lynette Beaton is bringing her alter-ego Aunt Betty to life for an 'Elfcapades' spectacular at Gourock's Gamble Halls.

In a five-show jingle sing-a-long, the Boogie Bugs crew will be joined by Santa, Elf Holly Berry and Twinkle Toes.

It promises to be a smash hit with children and parents alike as the countdown to Christmas hots up.

Lynette said: "We are all so excited here at Boogie Bugs to be pulling this together.

"It is very special after the difficult time we have all had.

"I can't wait to bring everyone together for some music and dancing.

"Our Boogie Bug classes are really busy and everything is going well."

Lynette is bringing a cast and crew of her talented friends to put on a family show.

Her line up, including Prominence Academy partner and friend Lauren Mortimer as Twinkle Toes, dance teacher Vikki Warnock as Holly Berry and Calum McVittie will also star in the show.

Lynette said: "I will be there with my guitar and we will sing all the favourites.

"I would also like to thank everyone involved, including Inverclyde Leisure for supporting us with the venue."

As well as running Boogie Bugs and the Prominence Academy the duo recently started a dance section led by Vikki Warnock.

Lynette, who led a 'lockdown live' music page last year to raise thousands of pounds for good causes, is also one half of The Laurettes band.

They recently played at Murrayfield before a sell-out international rugby match and their single Home Bird made it to number four on the Official Amazon Music Charts.
