KIND-HEARTED local Freemasons have helped ensure no families go hungry this festive season.

The Lodge Crawfurdsburn Greenock No. 1121 kindly donated countless trollies of goods to the Inverclyde Foodbank as part of their annual festive fundraising drive.

Due to in-person meetings not happening as a result of Covid-19, members were able to make monetary donations which were then used to purchase essential items for the local resource.

Event lead Brother George G Nixon PM said "The amount of donations from all sources this year was impressive.

"The 2021 level exceeded that of the prior year and more than likely was at its highest level since this initiative started."

Countless bags were handed over to Andrew McAlees of Inverclyde Foodbank from Lodge representatives, including RWM Brother Adam McKenzie.
