MSP Jamie Greene has called on the Scottish Government to get fresh Covid relief funding to Inverclyde hospitality businesses as quickly as possible.
The UK Government recently announced an additional £440m for Holyrood to help businesses.
Mr Greene said: “Having spoken directly to retail, hospitality and transport businesses here in Inverclyde, it’s clear that the Omicron variant is wreaking havoc on what should be the most profitable time of year.
“This fresh UK Government support is welcome, but now it’s up to the SNP to ensure that it gets where it is needed thick and fast."
