A GROUP of tenacious individuals celebrated their success after completing an Inverclyde employment programme.

Christian charity Kidron ran an eight-week Steps to Employment course for people needing some help with finding jobs.

The course provides information on aspects of job-hunting including CV writing, interview technique and the value of volunteering.

Participants get the chance to share their experiences and challenges and to provide their own advice.

Everyone receives one-to-one coaching from job club coaches to help develop their strengths and identify opportunities.

At the graduation event, students were presented with certificates and heard an original song inspired by the group.

CAP Job Club manager Colin Campbell said: "It’s great to be able to celebrate our job club members completing the course today.

"The commitment they have made to the course has been phenomenal.

"Before we started, all the members said that their situation had made them low in confidence and worried about the future, and afterwards all are feeling more positive and equipped for their employment search.

"They've all seen positive changes to their general health and wellbeing."

The next course will start in February.
