A WELL known dentist is all smiles after retiring following almost four decades of sterling service.

Ian Lynch of EnVisage Dentistry in Kilmacolm is stepping down after serving the community and looking after patients for 39 years in total.

The highly-respected local dentist joined the EnVisage practice when it launched in 2018.

He has thanked his colleagues and says he now plans to use his new-found free time to work on his golfing skills.

Ian added: "I joined EnVisage when it first opened its doors and I worked with a fantastic team.

"I wish my colleagues the very best.

"I'm going to head to the golf course to improve my handicap."

Ian was given a fitting farewell as he retired with the very best wishes of the whole EnVisage team.

The practice will soon welcome a new dentist who will join the existing team of two.

Director Puneet Gupta, who is also chief executive officer at global export company PG Paper, said Ian was a central part of the team and will be sorely missed.

He added: "On behalf of everyone at EnVisage Dentistry, I would like to thank Ian for all his hard work and dedication.

"The last two years have been particularly challenging for the profession.

"Ian has been a key member of our Kilmacolm team, ensuring we remained open and continued to provide vital dental services in a safe environment.

"We wish him all the very best in his retirement."
