COUNCIL leader Stephen McCabe is urging young people across Inverclyde to make use of the new free travel scheme.
From January 31, everyone aged five to 21 will be able to use buses across Scotland for free using a National Entitlement Card (NEC) or Young Scot NEC.
Inverclyde Council will co-ordinate registrations for school pupils.
Cllr McCabe said: "Accessing free bus travel, whether for education, training, work or leisure, will provide a massive financial boost for many families across Inverclyde and help our young people."
