A GREENOCK man and woman have been charged with intentionally obstructing six police officers by allegedly swallowing items believed to be controlled drugs.
Joseph McIlmoyle, 56, and Shauna Beaton, 44, are said to have committed the alleged offences within Beaton's flat on Gael Street in December 2019.
Beaton is further accused of shouting, swearing and uttering offensive remarks and threats.
She and McIlmoyle, of Murdieston Street, have pleaded not guilty at the sheriff court through lawyers Aidan Gallagher and Paul Keenan.
A trial is scheduled to take place on February 9.
