CRAFTERS enjoyed a bead and blether at South West Library as part of the Chatty Cafe project.

Inverclyde Libraries’ Chatty Cafés started in 2018 to bring people together to learn new skills, share hints and tips.

And generally get together for a cup of tea and a blether – all of the things that can have a positive impact on health and wellbeing.

There are now five cafes brewing up in libraries across Inverclyde.

As well as this group and Chatty Cafe Crafters at South West Library, there are blooms and biccies at Kilmacolm.

There are two groups at Gourock Library, Chat &Change and Make it Up which both started in 2021 as part of the council's Climate Beacon project and focused around using recycled materials and reducing the effects of climate change.

There are also new new exciting groups coming soon.

A council spokesman said: " The Chatty Cafés offer a great opportunity for people to get together in a warm and friendly environment, meet others, have fun and learn new skills. We are always looking for new members for all of our groups."
