THE historic former Sir Gabriel Wood's Mariners' Home has been sold to a London company.
Owners the Sailors' Society confirmed that the A-listed 43-bed care facility which closed last year was now off the the market.
It has been bought by Torah Capital Limited.
It has been confirmed that the block of flats behind the main building will continue to house retired individuals and couples.
