RESIDENTS who rely on hearing aids can get new batteries at libraries.
The council has teamed up with Inverclyde Royal's audiology service to give local patients the option on their doorstep.
Replacement batteries are available if a yellow battery book is presented at Greenock Central, Gourock and Port Glasgow on Mondays from noon to 7pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am-5pm, Friday 10am-4pm and Wednesday and Saturday 10am-1pm.
Days and times at Kilmacolm Library are Monday noon to 7pm, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10am-2pm and Wednesday and Saturday 10am-1pm.
Inverkip and Wemyss Bay Library have stocks available Tuesday and Thursday 2-5pm and on Saturdays from 10am-1pm, while the timetable for South West Library is Tuesday and Thursday 10am-5pm and Friday 1-3pm.
