A column of black smoke rising from Highholm Street in Port Glasgow caught the attention of people for miles around after a blaze broke out in a tenement. This was the scene as firefighters battled to save adjacent properties from the flames raging in the building's roof space.
Only hours after the Port Glasgow fire, another blaze at Greenock's Dempster Street claimed the life of a 61-year-old woman. I took this picture after police erected a tent at the scene of the tragedy.
Normally a favourite picnic area, the grass of Lunderston Bay became a landing point for the Air Ambulance after a serious car accident on the road nearby. Paramedics are seen here returning to the aircraft after their work was done.
I took this picture of local Michelin Star chef Ben Egan as he prepared to take over a street food van beside the already well established Jax Snax at James Watt Dock Marina. Ben is setting Baby Jax with the help of chef Gary Lewis who has been turning out specialist dishes at Jax Snax for almost a decade.
