A GREENOCK woman charged with using someone's lost bank card to fraudulently obtain cigarettes has pleaded not guilty.

Diane Davies, 47, is said to have stolen the debit card for criminal purposes after finding it on West Stewart Street.

Davies, of Dempster Street, is said to have used it to unlawfully obtain two packs of cigarettes worth £19.30 at the Spar on South Street.

She is also accused of using the card to get juice and sugar valued at £3 from The Gift Box shop on West Stewart Street.

Three co-accused individuals are also charged with fraudulently using the card on August 24 last year.

Davies has denied the allegations through lawyer Gerry Keenan and matters are due to call again on May 31.
