MORTON'S finance director has retired from his role after eight years of service.
Nick Robinson is stepping down after joining the board at Cappielow back in 2014 at the invite of then-chairman Douglas Rae.
The 74-year-old carried out his duties on a voluntary basis and introduced systems and processes that have improved day-to-day financial management, as well as playing a key role in the transfer of the club's ownership to fan consortium Morton Club Together last year.
Lifelong Ton fan Mr Robinson says he will continue to attend matches as a supporter when the new season begins in July.
